If you already have a MPA or MPD programming cable for the PC version, you can use it for the TPX on the suitcase programmer by making a simple adapter cable. You will need a DB9 and a DB25 connector (male). Make three connections as follows: DB9 DB25 6 --------- 17 3 --------- 23 4 --------- 24 Plug the DB25 end into the end of the MPD/MPA cable and the DB9 directly into the Data I/O port on the suitcase programmer. I tested this on my TPX and it would read and write just fine. The TPX isn't much use for trunking, but works great with conventional channels.
